I got this Greenworks 24V rotary hammer just in time for a home project that required drilling some holes into the masonry of a tough old brick wall, so it was a perfect opportunity to test it out. I installed a carbide tipped masonry drillbit and the drill handled the task easily. The 24V lithium battery system provides some decent power, and the 4Ah battery included in this kit gives you a good amount of run time. The dual handle system makes it comfortable to hold and easy to control. The drill has a variable speed depending on how hard you pull the trigger. The built-in LED light on the front is very handy for illuminating the drilling area.This kit comes with a mini charger that you have to push on the battery, as opposed to the full size charging dock that comes with the more expensive 2J SDS hammer drill that Greenworks makes. Also, this drill doesn't have a hammer-only mode, whereas the SDS hammer drill does, so it might be worth considering spending the extra money to upgrade to the next model up if those two features appeal to you. You also get quite a bit more impact energy on the higher model, although it's almost twice the weight and quite a bit bulkier so those are reasons you may prefer to choose this model.The price is pretty reasonable for a 24V battery powered hammer drill with battery and charger. As a bonus you can use the battery in a very wide variety of tools in the Greenworks 24V tool family. Greenworks provides a 3-year warranty on this, which is great. This is a quality tool that is a good value for money and I'm glad to have it in my tool kit.
